Our team undertook a full refurbishment of two heritage-listed single-story buildings in Carlingford on behalf of Wesley Mission. The buildings were repurposed to operate as Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) homes for children with high physical needs, receiving care 24/7. The external works incorporated brickwork, concrete driveways and carports for wheelchair accessible vehicles. Careful consideration was given to the carport and connecting ramp to create a user-friendly space. The ramp’s entrance aligned with the tailgate of parked vehicles so that wheelchair users can disembark the vehicle and gain easy access to the Group Homes.
