Trinity were engaged under a D&C contract to complete architectural and services design and then construct the alterations to the existing staff room and Library at Marist Catholic College Kogarah. The new materials and colour palette where chosen to reflect the heritage elements in other areas of the school. The 600m2 library was transformed into a multifunctional learning environment. Withdrawal spaces and STEM specific GLAs with a focus on robotics where also established to bring energy back into the geographical heart of this school. The staff room was was completely refurbished with a new communal kitchen and furniture arrangement to provide the staff with a comfortable and inviting withdrawal space. Acoustic backed timber ceiling panelling was used to provide sound attenuation properties to the large space without closing it in. It was great to be able to bring significant change to spaces of the school which had not had a significant upgrade since the school was established.
